The Common Alternative Revolutionary Force (FARC) party asserted that while the reintegrated former combatants are marching, two other peace signatories, Marcial Macias Alvarado and Libardo Becerra, were killed. Macias Alvarado was murdered in Balboa, in Cauca, and Becerra, in Yari, San Vicente del Caguan.

The march for life and peace, started last week in Mesetas, Meta, 250 kilometers south of Bogota, aims to call the Ivan Duque Government to stop killing social leaders, former guerrilla fighters, indigenous people, peasants, among others sectors, which have been victims of the growing wave of violence unleashed in the country.

In this context, Feliciano Valencia, Senator for the Indigenous and Social Alternative Movement, indicated that he would change government officials whose priority is not to safeguard life.

Last week, five people were massacred in San Marcos, Sucre, several others were kidnapping, two people were murdered in Puerto Leguizamo, Putumayo, and two signers of the peace agreement were killed, Valencia said.
