Monetary ordering will guarantee fewer obstacles in Cuba’s economy

According to the president, the US Government has stepped up its hostility against the Caribbean island in order to satisfy Florida-based anti-Cuba sectors prior to the upcoming elections in November.

With that goal in mind, intellectuals, artists and leaders of the Revolution have been attacked at debates on issues such as racism, the recognition of the LGBTI community or women’s rights.

‘This campaign aims to demonstrate administrative incapacity, our country’s achievements and progress are hidden, the main sources of revenue are attacked and denigrated to strangle them: health care, tourism, remittances, among others,’ the president said on local television.

In addition, punitive measures against Cuba are announced every week, and in less than two years, they total 121 new provisions by the Government of the United States.

Of those measures, 54 are included in the regulations of the economic and financial blockade and 52 are part of its extraterritorial nature, Diaz-Canel added.

That context forces us to speed up the implementation of the economic-social strategy, which seeks to increase industrial production and boost new forms of management, the head of State noted.

It also envisages a transformation of agriculture and an entrepreneurial resizing of the system to stimulate the provision of services and transform and modernize trade.
