Radio and television news programs, as well as Jornal de Angola newspaper devoted today special interest to reviewing the speech by Lourenço on Tuesday, after addressing virtually the high-level UN General Assembly debate in its 75th period of sessions.

In opinion to the head of State, the principles of multilateralism should guide the search for just and lasting solutions to the conflicts that afflict the African continent and the Middle East.

The security problems in Africa are associated, in many cases, with international terrorism, the spread of religious fundamentalism and the post-electoral conflicts, the statesman said.

The president also reiterated the call to urgently restructure the United Nations system, in order to ensure, among other aspects, a Security Council that better represent the peoples, nations and continents.
