Chile: 23 deaths and 1,054 new Covid-19 cases

Santiago de Chile, Sep 22 (Prensa Latina) Chile's Ministry of Health on Tuesday reported 23 death due to Covid-19, so the death toll rose to 12,321 since the beginning of the pandemic into the South American country.

Likewise, according to the Health Ministry up to 9:00 p.m. local time on Monday, 1,054 new Covid-19 cases, adding up to 448,523. Of that total, 423,176 patients have been recovered, while 13,026 patients are still active, of which 918 are admitted to ICUs, 685 of them are receiving mechanical ventilation and 120 are in serious condition.

The most recent figures continue to show a downward trend nationwide, though the amounts of new infections continue concerning authorities in Maule, Biobio and Magallanes regions, in the south of the country.
