Over 41 million Covid-19 diagnostic tests performed in Russia

Moscow, Sep 15 (Prensa Latina) Russia carried out 41,100,000 SARS-CoV-2 diagnostic tests, of them 218,000 in the last day, reported the general staff for the fight against the disease.

As a result of these tests, 218,397 people are under observation and 1,073,849 infected were detected, 5,529 of them in the last 24 hours in 84 of the 85 regions of this country.

This was the maximum number of positive cases registered in a day since July 27th, according to the capital’s television. This figure exceeded the five thousand infected for the twelfth consecutive day, having stayed below that level since August 15th.

Five thousand six hundred and five patients were discharged from hospitals in a single day, raising the total at 884,305 medical discharges, and putting puts the national recovery coefficient at 82.3 percent.

The total number of deaths rose to 18,785, after 150 deaths were reported in one day, including 26 in Saint Petersburg, 13 in this capital, while the Altai region, the provinces of Sverdlov and Rostov reported nine, and six for Moscow and Omsk.

In addition, 1,086 patients recovered from the disease in Saint Petersburg, for an overall 231,483, while there were 730 cases in one day, for an accumulated of 272,523. Thus, the recovery rate rose to 84.94 per hundred.
