Jeyson Auza, minister of Health and Sports, and PAHO/WHO Representative Alma Morales dealt with the SUS implementation, which began on March 1, 2019, to help more than five million uninsured people.

This priority, promoted by former President Evo Morales (2006-2019), guarantees free health care and was set in motion with a US$ 200 million initial budget and extra US$ 2 billion for hospital constructions.

Auza and Morales agreed to strengthen the planning and programming capacities of health networks and hospitals, as well as the creation of a prospective model to better opportunity and availability of resources, ABI news agency reported.

The Bolivian official spoke out for resuming new laws for health sector and access to the experiences of the Americas on Conciliation and Arbitration.

Regarding the Covid-19, it was highlighted the significance of continuing to work with PAHO/WHO, an approach supported by Morales, who talked about the arrival of the first batch of 228,000 Covax vaccine doses.
