Joint Operations Command spokesman, Major General Tahsin al-Khafaji, indicated that the service was restored in most of cases.

In early June, the Iraqi Ministry of Electricity reported that a plant in Kirkuk governorate shut down due to a sabotage that destroyed two pylons.

One of the attacks by the extremist gang consisted of cutting off power to the al-Karkh water project in order to deprive the population of the vital liquid.

The regime of blackouts caused by those terrorist actions exacerbated the anger Iraqis suffer with a notable rise in temperatures in the summer season and the ravages of a year-long drought.
