China warns about Bolsonaro son’s slander

Brasilia, Nov 25 (Prensa Latina) The Chinese Embassy in this capital warned about false news published by parliamentarian Eduardo Bolsonaro, President Jair Bolsonaro's son, that could affect today its relations with Brazil.

The congressman, who chairs the Foreign Relations Committee of the Chamber of Deputies, said on Monday in a letter on social networks, later erased on Tuesday, that the Brazilian government declared its support for a ‘global alliance for a secure 5G (technology), without spying from China’.

According to the assemblyman, this takes place with the repudiation of entities classified as aggressive and enemies of freedom, such as the Communist Party of China.

In response to this assertion, the Chinese Embassy in Brazil affirmed that the infamous declaration follows the United States’ dictates of abusing the concept of national security to defame’ the Asian country and restrict the activities of its companies.

For Beijing, this is totally unacceptable and we express strong dissatisfaction and vehement repudiation of this behavior.

We urge these personalities to stop following the rhetoric of the US extreme right, of disinformation and slander of China and the Sino-Brazilian friendship, and to avoid going too far down the wrong path, given the interests of both peoples and the general trend of the bilateral partnership, he warned.

Otherwise, the diplomatic mission stressed, they will bear the negative consequences and the historical responsibility of disturbing the normalcy of the partnership between China and Brazil.
