China welcomes Biden-Harris electoral victory in US

Beijing, Nov 13 (Prensa Latina) China on Friday congratulated Joe Biden and Kamala Harris for their victory in the recent presidential elections in the United States, and pointed out that it is closely watching the reactions on that matter inside and outside that country.

According to Foreign Ministry Spokesman Wang Wenbin, Chinese authorities respect the US people’s decision at the polling stations and understand that the results of the elections will be handled in accordance with the relevant procedures and laws.

China has joined other countries in the world that have welcomed Biden’s victory on November 3, although incumbent President Donald Trump refuses to recognize his defeat.
